Hand carved Pounamu By Paul Hoogendyk.

All the pieces in this store are handcarved in the traditional way of old: by hand as much as possible. Each step along the way is blessed with prayers and smudging.

All are unique and carry the energy of our journeys around the world with the pounamu. 

Paul was gifted the art of carving after a night on Mt Hikurangi, a very sacred mountain of Aotearoa/NZ. 

Each piece comes with its own flax bag and the traditional story of the Pounamu.

Paul carves only in greenstone at this point in time.
